Chinese Tree pattern, transfer and painted in bright colors. Translucent porcelain made by Minton 1875-1881. Pattern as 2064. Marked with 4 dots.
Condition: Minor chip underneath the edge.
Set of 3 10 inch antique dinner plates. English earthenware. Minton & Hollins partnership era 1845-1868. Oriental flower garden theme. Rust red and little purple flowers with very dark cobalt blue on transfer. Marked with cartouche, M&H and the pattern number 4413.
Condition: All 3 are in very good condition. They do have utensil scratches, not bad at all.
There is a forth one that has edge repairs, it is included if you want it.
Hand painted, all different flowers surrounded by cartouche of more of the same. Set in turquoise with feathering vine. Two high compotes, pedestal sauce dish with lid and underplate, plus 2 low pedestal bowls and 3 low pedestal plates.
Marked with a pattern number 178 and some have an artist mark.
We believe this set is from the Thomas Minton factory 1824-1836 when the pattern numbers were restarted and painted in the brownish color as shown on this set. It is from the private collection of the owner of Darby Mitchell Antiques of Atlanta Georgia and they attributed it to Minton.
1 high compote 10 1/2 inches across, over 5 1/2 inches high.
1 high compote 8 3/4 inches across, 4 1/4 inches high.
1 pedestal sauce tureen with lid and underplate about 7 1/2 inches high to the top of the finial.
3 low pedestal plates, 8 1/2 across.
2 low pedestal bowls, 8 3/4 across.
Condition: Excellent. This is high quality hard porcelain decorated intricate design.
